HardCor 2028 is Golden in Hershey
On July 13th and 14th our HardCor 2028 team travelled to Palmyra, PA, to compete in the Hogan Hershey Lacrosse Shootout. This was the group’s first tourney of the summer season, and they were dialed in right from the get-go.
Day 1 saw the team execute systems well, outwork their opponents and putting the TEAM first with a lot of unselfish play. The team was rewarded by going 3-0, with wins over True Philly 2028, Iron City 2028 and Team Turnpike 2028.
Day 2 was a big challenge. With a short bench, and temperatures above 90 degrees, the TEAM was exhausted, even after a good night’s sleep. However, this didn’t deter the boys from giving everything they had left in their tanks. The semi-final match up was one for the ages. Their opponent, Madlax DMV 2028, was also 3-0 after the first day, out scoring their opponents 31-7 over those 3 games.  The game was a see-saw battle that went into sudden victory.  After losing possession of the ball in the opposing teams end, HardCor 2028’s offense pressed the ball carrier to cause a turnover and the game winner and a ticket to the championship.
In the finals, HardCor 2028 saved their best defensive game for the Dukes MSI 2028. When the final whistle went, it was 8-2 in favour of HardCor 2028.
Congrats to the coaches and players on a well played tournament.  We look forward to watching you in the Summer Finale in Washington, MI.
